There are four fundamental elements that guide our day to day work.  For us to be successful, it is important that our daily work is guided by the following four strategic goals.

  • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & ATTRACTION

    • Support start-up and existing businesses by connecting them with tools and resources, and providing them with free technical assistance.

    • Build strong relationships with existing businesses to ensure their growth and success

    • Create a robust commercial and industrial property portfolio

    • Leverage workforce development programs and resources to ensure existing employers are providing the training necessary for their employees

    • Provide business educational opportunities and training

  • MARKETING & PROMOTION

    • Streamline messaging to tell our story and delineate from other organizations whom align

    • Partner with local realtors and property owners to proactively market available properties in Greater Fergus Falls to area, state and national developers, investors and realtors

    • Establish Greater Fergus Falls as the face of economic development

    • Utilize social media and online advertising to promote free technical services, available incentives and development opportunities

    • Gather and promote area demographics, assets and site selection criteria

  • PARTNERSHIPS

    • Leverage partnerships with City, Port Authority, Fergus Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, Visit Fergus Falls and others to maximize outreach and efficiency

    • Leverage M State Community and Technical College to advance mission and address workforce shortage

    • Strengthen relationships and Fergus Falls Presence with local, regional, state and national individuals and organizations that enhance our mission

  • ORGANIZATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY

    • Create and implement the foundation necessary to successfully operate our organization and ensure it's sustainability
